Movement Feeds the System
I have mentioned the importance of movement in many of the blogs in this series. That is because movement is life and freedom and independence, and it is my specialty. So, let's dive in.
Joint movement helps:
Circulate nutrients
Maintain flexibility
Support coordination
Reduce stress on surrounding tissues
Without regular movement, the body becomes less efficient. This isn’t about intense workouts. It’s about maintaining the ability to move well.
Sedentary Patterns Add Up
Modern life encourages long periods of sitting — at desks, in cars, on devices.
Over time, this leads to:
Tight hips
Stiff shoulders
Reduced spinal movement
Decreased circulation

These changes often happen gradually — until everyday movement becomes harder than it should be. Many people begin moving less simply because movement feels uncomfortable, stiff, or painful. Unfortunately, less movement often leads to even more stiffness and loss of mobility over time.
That’s why I encourage patients to be proactive about their health. Your 7-Day Mobility Upgrade:

Perform 10 minutes of mobility work daily. Focus on your spine, hips, and shoulders — areas most affected by sitting.
Take a 10-minute walk after one meal each day. This supports digestion, circulation, and energy.
Break up sitting every 60 minutes. Stand, stretch, or reset posture.
